The Hilton Tucson El Conquistador Golf & Tennis Resort is Southern
Arizona's largest golf resort, with 45 holes of championship golf
on three golf courses. On the border between nature and civilization,
the resort is located on 500 acres of high Sonoran Desert and beneath
the western ridge of the Santa Catalina Mountains. Golf enthusiasts
have an opportunity to observe the fascinating desert wildlife while
enjoying the scenic beauty of this picturesque location. The courses
are excellent examples of the work of Jeff Hardin and Greg Nash. The
Scottsdale, Arizona-based designers built the courses to follow the
existing contours of the land. They made use of the natural features
while altering the landscape as little as possible to create 45 holes
of golf.
Pusch Ridge –
The Pusch Ridge course is a nine-hole, 2,788-yard, par-35 with a 65.6
rating and a slope of 110. The course encircles the 428-room resort
property. It is considered by some to be the best-kept secret in Arizona
golf. Sporting a 175-foot change in elevation from start to finish, this
par 35 layout is not to be taken lightly.
