Nestled among the majestic redwoods and surrounded by a myriad
of recreational attractions, Northwood GC offers a truly unique
and unforgettable golfing experience in one of nature`s most
beautiful settings along with its history. Northwood GC was
designed in 1928 by architect Alister MacKenzie, famous for
Augusta National and Cypress Point. In collaboration with Robert
Hunter, MacKenzie built this enticing par 36, nine-hole course
for the enjoyment of the members of the nearby Bohemian Club.
With casual dining overlooking the golf course and comfortable
lodging close by, one can enjoy golf, relax or sightsee. Within
a short drive you can visit the renowned Sonoma and Napa Wine
Countries or stroll along some of the most picturesque ocean
shoreline in Northern California. Tennis, horseback riding,
hiking, canoeing and hot air ballooning are just a few of the
many activities you can enjoy in the area.
Come and visit. See the morning mist meander through the redwoods.
See the sparkle of the sun on the river. Follow your golf ball as
you send it unerringly toward the green. Bring yourself, bring
your family and come enjoy what we have to offer.
