A 27-hole, public golf facility, Starfire is one of Scottsdale`s
most historic and well-respected golf courses. With its simplistic beauty
and central location, the new and improved Starfire is a classic golf
experience.
Located in north central Scottsdale, Starfire at Scottsdale
Country Club offers beautiful views of the McDowell Mountains as players
wind through the 27 holes lined with many old eucalyptus, pine and cottonwood
trees. The "King" Nine was designed by Arnold Palmer and opened
in 1988. Palmer also redesigned the existing "The Squire" and
"The Hawk" Nines, making them more up to date and challenging.
The terrain is fairly flat, and there are water hazards that come into
play on thirteen holes.
